Anyone have any ideas for a name?

Any thoughts on a possible name for this place?

If anything, it should probably have a pleasing, welcoming name—in keeping with our desire to encourage newcomers. And since this place is a bit of a splinter or offshoot of LSF, maybe something that sounds vaguely similar? You know...something like Lemonsoft, only cooler.

Yggdrasil. Because it is a tree with branches (like a VN!) that holds many different worlds, just as this forum will hold many different stories. Or, YGG just to sound hip and cool. Kids these days are always shortening things.

In terms of Google hits, that's why I mentioned a "hip" (I make myself sound so old O_o) shortening like YGG or Yggdra. YGG Network definitely has nothing Google-ish about it.

I'm pretty terrible with coming up with names, so I'm pretty okay with whatever we settle on ^_^' Shortening it sounds good, or otherwise changing it to be different, maybe dropping the extra 'g'? I just like the connotations of the name.

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of 'Yggdrasil'; firstly, a lot of people won't be able to spell it and don't know what it means (saying there's a shortening is fine, but then the shortening also loses the reference!), secondly it doesn't really say anything about the forum or its purpose, it needs to be explained - and... well, without meaning to imply it was the intention, it comes off as a bit pretentious, to me. :/

How about 'Readback'? It's a VN feature, and also gives the idea of being introspective and self-critical. As a bonus, the shape of the word reminds one of 'feedback'.

Perhaps a name that suggests a new beginning. How about "Embryo"? (Three guesses where I got that idea from...) It does sort of point to where you want the forum to go. "An unborn or unhatched offspring in the process of development", according to Google. An offshoot of Lemmasoft, but an entity in its own right.
